FAST CARS DRAG RACE…FAST DRIVERS CIRCUIT RACE! PART 1

Author : cmunroe

My quest to convince you to depart from your temporary residence on the couch monitoring the remote or your preferred spot on the spectator stand continues. Like a race against time, I am operating within a restricted space. Drag racing at Vernanfield for the 2016 season, revs off in March. And like an impatient competitor, I simply cannot wait.

But, for 2016, I urge you to make the transition from ardent fan to formidable competitor! That is your challenge and if you dare to accept it I guarantee you that you will be handsomely rewarded.

I suggested earlier that drag racing may very well be the easiest vehicle to pilot to the place where unrestricted pleasure calls home. But, here is the crux of the matter. To ascertain the discipline you should compete in, ascertain the following – Do you own a fast car? Or – Are you a fast driver?

A hornets nest is disturbed when these questions are posed. Drivers or competitors in the different motorsport disciplines do not necessarily think highly of each other. It is widely felt but not accepted to the same degree, that, inorder to compete and claim victory in drag racing you must have at your disposal, a Nissan R35-type machine – translation – a fast machine!

To stun the ‘tree’ and clinch an incredible et, consistent with your lofty goals, copious slices of boost or explosive segments of nitrous oxide may be required. As such, some individuals are of the view that the machine plays a rather dominant role in determining whether victory of defeat is yours. The view that the driver is an emasculated being, a mere passenger, is often advanced.

I might not agree but my views are unimportant. So, add this to your decision-making melting pot – Do you own a fast car or are you a fast driver?
