Author : cmunroe

The lights on the ‘tree’ did their colorful dance and the vessels of speed departed with unreasonable haste! We blinked, time disappeared. The green light and the announcer conveyed the victor’s information. ‘Lizard’ won the Maggi 10 class but something far removed from logic was in occurrence on the ‘Damage’ side of the grid.

Where one would have expected depression laced with regret to reign, celebratory notes were amplified, high fives kissed the atmosphere and triple jump-type leaps were numerous. They lost – or did they?

In a show of unique content, drag racing delivered. Raffique Golaub lost the bout but won a bigger prize by completing a much faster time than the Maggi 10 seconds class would allow! Raffique Golaub’s Evo sped through the depart and arrive sensors and clocked a much sought after 9 seconds pass! They are still celebrating on Red Hills Road!

Significant Event # 2. Drag Racing Challenge # 2 was over. A stellar event it was. Fans came and were rewarded with an atmosphere worthy of Dream Weekends! But they were not present for the treats. They ‘rolled out’ to witness and swim in a sea of organized speed! And that they got continuously.

But it was over and the procession to depart the venue was in full swing. At times, you hear or see the best story when you least expect it. As I walked, rather idly, in the general direction of my trusty steed, I observed a small gathering at one of the food-spots. Soup was being served. It was somewhat unusual to see so many individuals having soup, bearing in mind that the event ended and most persons had already left. So, I flung a question. The response generated a smile.

Maggi is a NDRC Racing Class Partner – Maggi 10 Class. Maggi featured in my Significant Event #1 and without a preconceived design, the brand presented a stout case and emerged in Significant Event #2.

As I was leaving Drag Racing Challenge #2 Maggi was serving soup to patrons as they left the venue. Cost? FREE! Big up MAGGI!

But wait, there is more. All things Drag Racing Challenge #3 are now being discussed. Mandeville got their taste of the speed tour. Test and Tune is scheduled for July 17th and Armageddon will reside at Vernamfield on  July 24th. The summer is hot and the racing will be a furnace!

The riddle – What happened when the German race-engineer and the environmental scientist collided in the lobby of the Waldorf Astoria?

Answer – The Porsche 918 Supercar!
