Sadly, we have found a new tradition for the holidays. However, this one brings only misery, grief and loss.
On December 20, 2005 in Kent village, St. Catherine, six persons lost their lives when the taxi they were in crashed head first into a truck.
Who could forget the horrible accident on December 19, 2008 in Fellowship, Portland which claimed the lives of several persons on their way to the market? More recently on December 26, 2010, there was a fatal accident involving four men also in Portland but this time in Bryan’s Bay.
What can we do to prevent further tragedies?
Well, of course, the cause for each accident might be different but I think it’s a good idea to install higher rails on narrow, winding roads. At this time of the year it is a good idea to warn drivers against the dangers of overtaking recklessly.
We need to implore everyone on the road to use sound judgment. Please people we need to stop the carnage on our roads.
I read that they had set a target for less than 300 deaths by the end of the year but we have already surpassed that total. We are a small island more than 300 deaths per year is simply not acceptable.
We have more holidays on the horizon so please drive carefully. This is one tradition that we need to break!

Excellent post! You have provided useful information. I will return to your blog often to check. I really like reading your blog Keep up with your good job.
shared this on twitter thanks
I admit it is unusual that I found a post that I can’t find many things wrong with it. This might actually be an exception. I don’t see any obvious grammatical mistakes, nothing extremely naive talked about, and a theme that doesn’t look like total crap. Am I impressed? Somewhat; but definitely better than the majority.
