Drag Racing:Got displacement? (Dean Shaw’s machine)!

In a recent blog, I suggested that there is a replacement for displacement. Stunning as it may sound, I argued that at Dover Raceway, for example, machines in Mp1 focused on other areas from which time may be gained – emphasis on weight reduction, suspension and handling.

I am of the view that Dean Shaw read the blog and decided to bring the Camaro out – The Beast! I saw the Beast recently, in its ‘engine-protruding from bonnet glory’ and I am certain it was bellowing – There is no replacement for displacement!
