Author : cmunroe

I was taught that it is never too late for a shower of rain. I learnt. No other saying is more applicable in the current scenario. Here I was thinking that I was completely finished with Rally Jamaica 2012. But little things keep popping up from below the floorboards and each time they do so, they scream ceaselessly that they deserve their shining moment – their share of the spotlight.

Nowhere in my job description is it written or implied that I should refrain from bringing much needed cheer to to the ordinary, mundane existence of my brothers and sisters who are committed to the motorsports faith. On the contrary, it is my signed duty to ensure that your spirits are raised considerably by revealing gems from the motorsports arena.

Mayor Brown-Burke

The gem which will be made available to you finds the Mayor of Kingston in a pickle I am not certain she was entirely prepared for. Unlike her KSAC meetings which are characterized by order, decorum and a seamless flow of agenda events – except when members feel obliged to introduce vociferous pronouncements in pursuit of honorable representation, Mayor Brown-Burke’s future was passed on to an individual who stirs endless debate re his prowess behind the wheel.

How would you grade his performance? Can you put words to the Mayor’s expressions/reactions?
