Circuit Racing: Is the next ‘King’ here?

Author : cmunroe

Christopher ‘Teach’ McFarlane is the President of the JRDC. In my humble opinion he has some lessons to learn, but I will be the first to commend him for the effort his administration makes to organize and execute circuit racing events thus far, in what is obviously a treacherous economic climate.

I listen to remarks and read comments made by numerous individuals and at times, I honestly wonder if they have the sport’s best interest at heart. We are all in a hurry to destroy and construct pessimistic perceptions re the hard work others engage in, but we are rarely available to improve that which we so gleefully criticize.

We are all human and not without shortcomings, so I would beseech individuals to give credit when it is due and try, despite the level of difficulty some of us face when we attempt to do this, to have respectful discourse and criticize in a manner and tone which will seek to assist rather than discourage effort. Enough said.

Fans who made the effort to visit the hills of St. Ann last Sunday (Dover Raceway) were rewarded handsomely. For me, for reasons which will be discussed in upcoming blogs, it was a mixed bag, but for the spectators, value for money was evenly distributed in the races.

Opportunity will knock on a door or two, but it is not patient, so when it knocks, like a butler to the queen, open the door with an appreciative smile.

Two individuals have heard the knock and they are approaching the door.

The Lueboyz built ‘Banana’ has successfully made the transition from Drag Racing to Circuit Racing, in Usain Bolt time! This machine has reactivated the career of an individual who, if he had the appropriate weaponry ‘back then’, he would have conquered everybody on the grid – bar none! Well, Noel Golding Jr is back and with the Lueboyz orchestrating the effort – Watch out World!

Craig Lue talking to ‘Banana’ pilot – Noel Golding JR.

Andre Anderson – does he need an introduction? You should have seen him during qualifying Sunday morning – Awesome!!!

So, if you saw and enjoyed the festivities on Sunday maybe you can answer this question – Is the next King here?
