Dexterity: Slippery Wen Wett – Water party in Junction!

Author : cmunroe

Cannot recall now how I learnt about Slippery Wen Wett. This is what I recall – I called Kingsley Scott on Saturday and told him that I would pass through. Sunday was a packed day according to my schedule, so the plan was to invade the venue in Junction, St. Elizabeth rather early, grab a few snaps and ‘cut’!

I crept through the location somewhere between 1pm and 2pm. Kingsley told me, when I spoke to him, that the event would rev off about 3 pm, so I knew, as planned, that I was early.  But what I saw at that time was encouraging  – a few muscular, drift-stance machines were strategically positioned close to the gate of the event. So, as you rolled by, you could ‘full up u eye’ with the awesome machines that would play an integral role in the proceedings – nice touch!

Kingsley’s events, thanks to his team’s hard work, sponsors and the highly skilled drivers which participate, are rapidly becoming can’t miss events.  I saw several ‘name-brand’ drivers and motorsport  personalities in the short time I was present, which, in my view, could be interpreted as unofficial endorsement of the event, thanks to the quality of the product. The motorsports celebrities present included – Alan Chen, ‘Fattaz’, Matthew and Patrick Gore, Dean Corrodus, Jamar Kinkead, ‘Cutta Hype’, Christopher ‘Teach’ McFarlane, Duncan Stewart and Dean Shaw.

Machines were everywhere at the event – metal and human! I snapped a few and if you missed it, then this is your force orders – do not and I repeat do not miss the next event!

Can you identify this machine with the huge ‘fridge’.

Unbeatable? – or simply Show-stopper!

Words can’t express my admiration for this machine – 1

More admiration -2.

Machine of many colours!

Jamar’s machine – super-clean!!

If you are a RX 7 fan, this is your treat.

As stated earlier, I was forced to leave before the real ‘slideways’ action got underway, but, what is abundantly clear ladies and gentlemen is the fact that, these ‘slip and slide’ events are a frolicking fountain of fun! Do not miss the next water party!
