Say it is not true! Say it is not possible! Say it is incomprehensible! We should slowly but, methodically, dissect what Mercedes F1 boss Toto Wolff had to say when questioned about Vettel and his (Mercedes) driver line up.
I will admit that based on what we know about Lewis Hamilton – his propensity to wage psychological warfare and his bruising encounters with Nico Rosberg, which some argued, coerced Rosberg into immediate retirement after winning the World Championship – Vettel joining Mercedes is not only a mouth-watering prospect, it is a nuclear explosion searching for a race-track!
As fans of the sport, we would not only welcome Vettel’s addition to the Mercedes family, we would encourage it and we would love it!
HAMILTON
Can you imagine 4-times World Champion, Vettel, sitting in a Mercedes Petronas machine – on the grid – on pole – Hamilton – P2 and Leclerc – P3 – at Spa? We would have neither the words nor the pace to chase the shelling!
Isn’t this what F1 should be about?
Make no mistake. Do not be fooled. Vettel cannot be in a happy place with what has unfolded at Ferrari re his separation from the team. Wouldn’t he relish the opportunity to maul the driver – Leclerc – who upstaged him, repeatedly and possibly led to his him losing his seat at Maranello?
I read with interest what Wolff said. I understood what he said. But, I also understand the hidden mechanisms buried in F1′s bunker. Lol. Is it possible that Vettel could land at Mercedes? Wouldn’t you want to see Vettel at Mercedes ?
Think about this for a moment. Hamilton vs Vettel in equal machines. Vettel vs Hamilton vs Leclerc? F1 – we need this! You need this!
Can you imagine the bonfire on the track if Vettel lands at Mercedes AMG Petronas?
What do you think?

If this happened it would be epic.
Welcome Norman. Epic would not begin to describe the tempestuous and rollicking waves that the F1 sea would hurl at unsuspecting fans! Lol! I am not particularly fond of Vettel, but I am willing to bet that if he is paired with Hamilton we could see another Prost-Senna face-off. We are salivating!
