Circuit Racing: Easter Carnival of Speed – Qualifying

Author : cmunroe

Good evening ladies and gentlemen. I went to qualifying with an open mind, willing to welcome any surprise from the heavy hitters. Listening to the comments some of the spectators made gives one some measure as to how passionate the fans are about their chosen rivalry. Here is an example – exiting the Pepsi hairpin, Doug Gore got a bit excited, extended his size 9,10/11 and the car spun. As another racecar approached, the fan who was next to me said in deafening Jamaican creole -” Don’t lick it, don’t lick it a expletive, expletive, mi no want a ting happen to it before Summerbell kick it inna it expletive, expletive, tomorrow! Tactless but his point was made.

A healthy rivalry is good for business

Summerbell about to read the riot act.

Before

After

Doug contemplating strategy.

David’s Evo is Truly Awesome (TA1) but soon and very soon I will Destroy That Machine!

A lot is at stake and even more is on the line. Race day is just a few zzzzzss away. David versus Doug. TA1 versus Audi DTM. Are you brave enough to pick the winner?
